Philippa Lawrence
Current work is concerned with the constant appropriation and consumerism of the land, of war, conflict and human distress. The intention is to make works that are 'beautiful' but that speak of very real issues. Through extreme changes of scale, she is also exploring the relative spatial relationship of the body to the work.
